A ball of radius 11 has a round hole of radius 7 drilled through its center. Find volume of resulting solid?
Don’t know how to do this problem, its in the calculus chapter regarding axis of revolutions and finding areas between curves. Anyone know how?

“To be more precise, the hole is a cylinder of radius 7 with rounded ends. It is these rounded ends that is the hardest to find the volume of, so let’s do those first.
Picture a sphere centered at the origin with the z-axis as the center of the cylinder (the hole). The equation of the sphere is x² + y² + z² = 100. The equation of the hole is x² + y² = 49. Find the z-coordinate of the intersection:
49 + z² = 100
z = ±√51
Now integrate to find the volume of one rounded end:
π∫{z=√51 to 10} 100 – z² dz
π(2000/3 – 249√51/3) ≈ 464.504<<<<(this is a mistake by the other user he forgot to multiply this by 2 since there are 2 ends)
The volume of the cylinder without the rounded ends is πr²h = π(7)²(2√51) ≈ 2198.675
The volume of the sphere without the hole is (4/3)π(10)³ = 4000π/3 ≈ 4188.79.
The volume we want is thus 4188.79 - 2198.675 - 464.504 = 1525.611 (the answer is wrong because like i said before it is actually 4188.79-2198.675-2(464.504)=1061.107
